BBCIncorp was pleased to participate in the 15th Biennial Corporate Governance Conference 2026, organized by The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (HKCGI), with Ms. Emily representing BBCIncorp at the event. Bringing together leaders and professionals across business and governance, the conference explored how organizations can navigate the growing influence of artificial intelligence while responding to changing expectations and emerging risks.
Themed “Leading the Era of AI: Building Trust, Culture, and Value,” the conference looked beyond the question of which technologies businesses should adopt. Instead, it considered how organizations can create the right environment for technology to deliver lasting value.
Beyond technology: The human side of AI transformation
One perspective Ms. Emily took away from the conference was:
“Technology is merely a tool, while people are the driving force.”
For businesses, this means that successful AI transformation involves more than selecting and implementing the right tools. Technology can support new ways of working, but people remain central to how those capabilities are applied and translated into better business outcomes.
Three areas become particularly important: leadership, culture, and governance.
Leadership provides the strategic direction needed to identify where AI can genuinely contribute. Culture enables people to adapt as their roles, workflows, and ways of thinking evolve. Governance helps organizations manage new risks while establishing the trust required to use technology responsibly.
Without these foundations, technological change can remain disconnected from the broader needs of the organization.
Turning technological change into meaningful value
AI transformation is also an ongoing process rather than a single business initiative. As technologies evolve, organizations need to continuously learn, evaluate their impact, and reconsider how they can be used to improve the way people work and make decisions.
This is particularly important as digital workflows introduce new considerations alongside greater efficiency. Organizations need to understand not only what technology can enable, but also where new risks may arise and how those risks should be managed.
Continuous learning therefore becomes part of responsible transformation. By encouraging people to ask better questions and develop a deeper understanding of new technologies, businesses can make more informed decisions about how AI fits into their operations.
Ultimately, technology creates greater value when people have the knowledge, confidence, and governance structures needed to use it effectively.
How BBCIncorp continues to evolve
This perspective also informs how BBCIncorp continues to develop its approach to corporate services.
As more businesses expand internationally and manage operations across markets, digital capabilities can play an important role in making corporate services easier to access and navigate. We continue to explore new tools and ways of working that can improve how businesses interact with our services and manage their corporate needs.
For us, technological progress is not simply about keeping pace with new developments. It is about identifying practical opportunities to make services more seamless, responsive, and relevant to the businesses we support.
By combining technology with human expertise and thoughtful processes, we aim to create an experience that better supports businesses as they navigate their international operations and growth.
The conversations at HKCGI’s conference reinforce an important point: meaningful transformation is not achieved by technology in isolation. It requires people, culture, leadership, and governance to move alongside it, creating the conditions for innovation to generate lasting business value.
